Lossiemouth has been banned from Moray Toon competitions for the next two seasons after being found to have committed “serious breaches” of Uefa’s financial fair play regulations.

United Elginshire Fairplay Associates said Lossie had broken the rules by “overstating how many beaches were able to be accessed by the public and using state sponsored monies to further build a new brig tae pull in mare visitors”, adding that the toon “failed to cooperate in the investigation.

The reigning Moray World Cup champions have also been fined twa dozen bottles o Budweiser.

The decision is subject to appeal to the Court of Toon Judging Arbitration. A Judge fae the court said “ If every Toon wis able tae appeal for help tae build fancy bridges tae places, they would get mare visitors and ergo mare votes in competitions too. Its just nae fair, and i’d rather the fine was Peroni i’m nae partial tae Budweiser.

Fowk fae Lossie  said they are “disappointed but not surprised” by the “prejudicial” decision by fowk fae Elgin probably, and will appeal.
